WANT To Be A $UCCE$$ ? Go Getters vs. Dreamers

Is it not A PUZZLE to YOU as to why there are so few Success Stories in this world ? The reason why most of us are *NOT SUCCESSFUL, and that there are Very Few
"Real Celebrities" of the stature that the majority of populace looks up to, is that
the Dreamer in us ever too often overshadows the Go-Getter which - if nurtured
properly - has the necessary firepower to catapult us into the very realm that its
dominant partner [ the Dreamer ] can only conjure up. However, therein lies that most elusive SECRET OF $UCCE$$ !
What one has to realize, and concede,is that "nothing" gets accomplished by itself.
There is no denying the fact and no counter arguments whatsoever.
People who believe in providence or divine fate [ call it Luck ] also grudgingly admit
that a particular ACTION preceded a particular bit of $UCCE$$.
Even the smallest task, the completion of which could be constitute $UCCE$$
[ however small it may be in real terms ] requires just that much "DOING". If that letter [ of course, obsolete in these days of e-mails, online chatting and
mobile telephony ] to a friend has not been written till today, all it takes is to find
a pen, a piece of paper, a few spare minutes of your time in which to ink your
thoughts on paper and there you are.
You just achieved $UCCE$$... once you mail that letter, that is. If there is a movie that must be seen, does anything come in your way ? Office
or school [ it depends on your vocation ] can wait, three hours of time is never a
problem, all logistics are easily taken care of and you achieve $UCCE$$ in what you
had set out to do. If it is that simple - then why does it not translate so easily into reality when the
larger scheme of things is at stake ?
This is precisely the point that most Dreamers overlook. Whereas the movie trip was
taken care of by very methodically breaking down "The Project" in to smaller modules
of ACTION that can be separately implemented [ with $UCCE$$ ] in a particular order,
we neglect to take a similar approach when it comes to things that really matter.
Things that The Dreamer can only conjure up. Had it not been for "inaction", we could have had many more Amir Khans, Brian Laras
and so on right up to "Z" - not forgetting "S" for Sachin R Tendulkar. Yet Sachin, a
$UCCE$$ in cricket and an undeniable ICON - if ever there was any - did not have his
own Twitter account till only recently.
At the risk of repeating... precisely the point !
He merely postponed his "ACTION" of creating the Twitter account. The 150,000 plus
followers that he has garnered in less than a week constitutes $UCCE$$ that was just
waiting to happen. The only catalyst that was required was the "ACTION". That he had
consciously opted out of T-20 World Cup can be construed as a "decision" instrumental
in creation of the Twitter account but would that not be stretching things a bit too far ?
Joining Twitter takes only a few seconds ! So ?
To summarize - or put things in a nutshell - if ACTION is an ingredient most necessary
for $UCCE$$, PROCRASTINATION has to be avoided at all costs if someone intends to court $UCCE$$.
Concentrate on taking ACTION and let the results take care of themselves.

Working for a 5-STAR Hotel, i was taken aback at the apathy shown towards the CUSTOMERS [to me, it meant GUEST] & their concerns about comfort in total subservience to PROCEDURES. Procedures, that were ostensibly put in place to accomplish just opposite of what was actually happening on the ground. Have you ever, as a customer, experienced such a discomfort that was attributed to PROCEDURES ? Must have seemed silly from where you stood & irritated you no end. My organization, DestiNATION Excellence, now concentrates on correcting this anomaly in Corporate Behavior wherever "invited" by the management with the gumption to accept a divergence in their "results" vis-a-vis "expectations" in CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Readers are WELCOME to forward my Visiting Card to whoever falls short of Your Expectations as a CUSTOMER. Whatever happened to the saying : Customer IS King ?

One LAZY Way to Work [ how loathsome ] towards $UCCE$$ is to Integrate What You Love Doing Anyway in to Your Quest.
I Absolutely Love Collecting Coins [ and Stamps too ] and have absolutely no qualms about letting the world at large know this.
Another thing i love to do is to HELP Underprivileged Children whose parents are unable to finance their desire to Study. You can HELP by sending "unwanted" graphic books that can supplement local materials.
ACTION on my part is NOT Lacking. Whether i receive the Books & Magazines, Coins or Stamps or not depends upon How Many Good People i can Reach Out to !
