It is a common phenomenon the world over to gloss over
the simplest of mistakes under the garb of oversight. The concept of EXCELLENCE, to which my organization - and
my life itself - is devoted appears to become a casualty in
the process. Today's intel is being posted sacrificing a few interesting
middle overs of the ongoing India vs. Pakistan cricket tie &
to point out a very amusing example that highlights my very
specific statement above : ** Direct telecast on via STAR CRICKET in India & Pakistan An advertisement featuring ITZ CASH CARD is being repeated
with an exhortation to "catch a movie after this match".
However, both the advertiser's smart-brains and the quality
monitoring staff [ if there is any such designation ] of the
T.V. channel conveniently overlook the fact that there are
no movie shows "post-mid-night"[ unlike in some countries ]
in either country AND the match is unlikely to finish before
the early hours of Sunday. With the match interestingly poised after 50+12 overs, this
has to be it ! Watch out for more - since THIS happens to be my profession
to train people in avoiding such "careless" mistakes. 2323 hrs I.S.T. / Saturday / 26 Sept. 2009
