The SIMPLE Truth about The Economic Crisis

Mum and dad were arguing over money when the teenager walked
in to the room humming a tune.
Dad was saying : I know you have a problem with the limited
cash that i give you. But the times are bad and the money is
simply not coming in. You must make do with what i already
gave you. Unfortunately, this is all for this month.
The teenager says : Come on, you guys ! Stop quibbling and
let me make you happy by treating you to the best dinner
you ever had.
Eager to break away from the crisis, parents agree and the
family has a gala dinner at the swankiest restaurant in the
town.
On the way home, the mother suddenly realizes that the son
had been entrusted with the family's monthly budget only a
few days ago and had been given the money that dad brought
home yesterday.
She asks and it becomes clear that the son had splurged the
family's monthly ration money at the restaurant. NOW, Compare the same situation with what the world economy has
been through recently :
The economists [dad] had been warning the common investor [mum]
but the stock market brokers [teenager / son] were after
the investor [mum] to purchase stocks at ever higher
prices [ have dinner & be happy ]. What the common investor has to realize is that President
Obama's stimulus package [ restaurant bill ] is provided
out of taxpayer's money [ monthly ration money ] and then
act accordingly. A moment's insight can really be a lifetime's wisdom !! 25 March 2009

The idea came to the writer while watching a program on some
TV channel about how the Stock Markets can rebound.
However, are we - the individua investors - again going to
bankroll the likes of Lehman Bros,Citibank, AIG and so many
others ?
